The
city of Clarksburg is over run by noisy, nasty little children
and the town’s folk are at their wits end. It’s been
said you can hear the screams of the tantrum throwing children
clear across the river in Wisconsin.
Last Tuesday, Mr. Arthur Webber, an import export trader of fine
dried salamis rare sausages and meats became the newest citizen
of Clarksburg and was welcomed warmly by his neighbor’s
two children Bobbie and Billy.
They threw eggs at his house, his car and his cat.
Turning the other cheek, Mr. Webber chuckled to himself, shook
his head smiling and uttered one word, “kids”. He
then whipped out a large grilling fork and knife and invited all
of his neighbors and their children to a backyard barbeque.
His grilling was perfection and his meats, heavenly. Mr. Webber’s
backyard barbeques became a weekend event for the entire town. The
people of Clarksburg began to notice, however, after each of Mr.
Webber’s barbeques the town got a little bit less noisy.
This story
is a semi modern twist on the story of Hansel and Gretel.
